Thank You For Your Patience!
Hi everyone! It’s been a few weeks since I posted this article and it has come to my attention that there are a few issues with the original. So I went back to the drawing board and today I am happy to say we are moving in the right direction.
Fixes and Upgrades:
There were several issues with the original sheet that some of you brought to Rob’s attention on Discord. Primarily information would randomly autofill across the sheet. That issue was caused by lazy text field creation on my part.
After properly naming the fields, I set about making a few upgrades to the sheet. Namely adding the ability to drop in an image file and a more complete weapons section.
My Ode to Homebrewers, Modders, & the Cyberpunk Community.
Over the past few weeks now I have seen an explosion in homebrewed, custom-made, purpose-built, and infinitely useful mod content created for Cyberpunk Red. Just look at the r/cyberpunkred subreddit on any given day and you will see something new community-generated content coming down the pipeline. People have taken the content that our Cyberpunk Pope Mike Pondsmith and R. Talsorian Games put out last fall, and made the tools that they need to play the game in a world that is moving further and further into the digital realm due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
While bigger publishing companies move at a glacial pace in terms of output, modders and homebrewers can turn on a dime. Reacting to the needs of the community in ways publishers just simply can’t. This is true for every gaming community, but even more so in our case. We are a very tight-knit group of players and GM’s in this community.
It is not uncommon for me to see people from my Night City Stories family hanging out on the Cyberpunk Uncensored Twitch Streem, or making new friends and finding gaming groups in the chat. (Shot out to Method and the boys.) This means that we are likely sharing tables with the very people who are making your favorite mods and homebrew content right now. So I urge you, dear readers, to go and share your favorite content with your friends, share your ideas with people, and most of all try to make things like mods and homebrews yourself. It isn’t hard and the results are a game that is more fun, or easier to play.
And to all the homebrewers and modders out there creating and sharing material to make this game and community better thank you.
